Chelsea where on the winning side on Thursday night after beating BATE Borisov 1-0 in the Europa League. Although the blues outfit were of poor showing some fans hand picked captain-for-the-nightGary Cahiill for the slaughter

Oliver Giroud gave Chelsea the win on the 52nd minutes and that was enough to keep up Chelsea’s perfect record in the competition. Sarri's men will be looking to continue there unbeaten run in the premier league.

Commentary from This is Futball
32-year-old Cahill has hardly been played this season, making just one cameo appearance in the Premier League as his time at Chelsea comes to an end. His contract expires in the summer and he’ll be free to talk to foreign clubs about a pre-contract in January. Judging by some of the comments tonight on Twitter, many Chelsea fans will be happy to see him go. However, he’s put in a massive shift at Stamford Bridge – 287 appearances with 25 goals – and although he’s past the peak of his powers, we’re sure Chelsea fans will see him off well when he can’t do any more damage to their side. The big question is whether he goes in January, allowing Chelsea to get some sort of fee for him, or whether he runs his contract down and goes on a free in the summer. We think it will be the latter. It will give him the chance to cherrypick one last big contract.
